CAT 1-Day Online Columbia Gorge Transit Pass

CAT now offers a 1-Day Online-Only Gorge Transit Pass on the Columbia Gorge Express (CGE). The CGE offers service to and from Portland, stopping in Troutdale, Multnomah Falls, Cascade Locks, and Hood River–and includes Multnomah Falls entrance permitting.

1-Day Gorge Transit Pass Special Promotion:

  • $15 pass covers fares for one adult + one child
  • Valid for one calendar day once activated (Midnight-11:59pm)
  • Includes Multnomah Falls entry permits for one adult + one child
  • Available ONLINE ONLY – Cannot be purchased in person or on the bus
  • Purchase in advance or day of travel at rideCATbus.org

Enjoy a day in the Gorge without the hassle of driving or parking. Hop on and off the CAT bus at any of the stops to eat, drink, shop, hike, walk, bike, and more. Great for families, couples, and individuals looking for a day outing in the beautiful Columbia Gorge. Please note this is a CAT fare only and is only valid on fixed-route CAT buses and cannot be used on other transit systems in the Gorge.

GOrge Pass

The GOrge Pass is your ticket to unlimited transit to and from Portland/Vancouver and around the Gorge.

How Much:

  • $40 Adults
  • $20 Kids under 17*

What You Get:

  • An annual pass connecting Portland/Vancouver and the Columbia Gorge. The GOrge Pass is good for the calendar year, ending on December 31.
  • Unlimited fixed route rides on all Columbia Area Transit (including the Columbia Gorge Express and the Gorge-to-Mountain Express), The Link Public Transit, Mt. Adams Transportation Service, and Skamania County Transit buses.

How Much:

  • $80 Adults

What You Get:

  • An annual pass connecting Portland/Vancouver and the Columbia Gorge. The GOrge Pass is good for the calendar year, ending on December 31.
  • Unlimited DAR service in Hood River County and fixed route rides on all Columbia Area Transit (including the Columbia Gorge Express and the Gorge-to-Mountain Express), The Link Public Transit, Mt. Adams Transportation Service, and Skamania County Transit buses.

How to Buy:

  • You can purchase a physical pass by visiting the CAT office at 224 Wasco Loop.
  • This pass is not available in digital form.

The Next Door Hood River Community ID

Individuals with The Next Door Hood River Community ID can purchase the GOrge pass for $15.

To buy the $15 Adult GOrge Pass with The Next Door Hood River Community ID, you must bring your Community ID card to the CAT office at 224 Wasco Loop, Hood River, OR 97031. The Next Door Community ID discount cannot be redeemed online. To learn more about The Next Door Community ID program please visit The Next Door’s website.

Free GOrge Transit Pass for Downtown Employees

Downtown Hood River employees are now eligible for a FREE transit GOrge Pass.

How Much:

  • FREE!

What you get:

  • A FREE Gorge Pass as a digital pass downloaded onto your phone.
  • The GOrge Pass is good for bus rides to and from Portland, and around the Gorge on both sides of the river on CAT, Mt Adams Transportation Service, The Link Public Transit and Skamania County Transit!
  • The GOrge Pass is valid through December 31, 2021.

How to get your FREE Pass:

  • Check the below map to make sure you work within the Downtown Hood River Zone.
  • Complete the simple application online.
  • CAT will verify your employment before issuing you a pass by calling your employer.
  • Once your employment has been verified you will receive a digital pass from Token Transit via text message.

This free program is a collaboration between the City of Hood River and Columbia Area Transit (CAT), in an effort to reduce traffic congestion, reduce parking issues and costs, and provide an opportunity to experience public transportation.
