Columbia Area Transit Responds to COVID-19 (coronavirus)

Hood River, Oregon, U.S.A.

Columbia Area Transit (CAT) is closely monitoring communications from local, state, and national health authorities regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus), in order to establish safety measures for riders and staff. The Oregon Health Authority is leading the response across Oregon, and CAT is following their advice in terms of precautions and mitigation measures.

CAT staff is following best practices related to customer interaction, and all busses are being wiped down with disinfectant throughout the day. CAT will continue to track recommendations and updates and respond as appropriate.

While CAT does not believe at this point that any of these measures will impact their services, they encourage riders to regularly check for updates.

Hood River County Transportation District provides public transportation in Hood River County under the name of Columbia Area Transit (CAT). We are a Special District organized under Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 267. Our major sources of funding include grants from the Federal Transit Administration, several different sources from the State of Oregon, local property tax, and user fees.
The District was formed by a vote of Hood River County Residents in 1993.
