Making a Difference in Your Community: How you can help low-income families in Hood River County

In February, Columbia Area Transit (CAT) announced the new $30 Annual GOrge Pass. This pass allows unlimited access to transit services on all CAT fixed-route buses, including services to Portland through the end of 2020 (expires 12/31/2020).
One of our missions is to promote and ensure equitable access to public transit for all Hood River County community members, and to help with this initiative we’re asking for your help. Due to the low $30 price of the GOrge Pass, CAT is asking community members to consider donating a pass (or multiple passes) to those in Hood River County who need a transit pass but might have difficulty affording the pass on their own.
CAT is currently partnering with the non-profit organizations The Next Door (a poverty agency) and Mid-Columbia Housing Authority (which promotes affordable housing) to distribute the passes to those in need.
Let’s make transit available to all. Please donate today and help provide public transportation for those in your community who need a little extra support.
Thank you!
