SUMMARY:Notice of Public Hearing
DESCRIPTION:Hood River County Transportation District (dba Columbia Area Transit – CAT) will accept public comment on the proposed fare change for the winter seasonal Gorge-to-Mountain Express service\, increasing from $5 round-trip to $5 each way. The first public hearing will be held at the October 15\, 2025\, Regular Board of Directors meeting at 4pm. The second public hearing will be held at the November 19\, 2025\, Regular Board of Directors meeting at 4pm. If approved as proposed\, the new fare will take effect on December 1st\, 2025. Riders will continue to be able to use the annual Gorge Transit Pass which costs $20 for youth and $40 for adults. Interested persons may submit testimony regarding the proposed fare change\, either verbally or in writing\, before or at the public hearing.\nWritten testimony may be submitted by mail to Columbia Area Transit\, 224 Wasco Loop\, Hood River\, Oregon 97031\, or by email to tim@catransit.org. To be considered\, written testimony must be received prior to the meeting.  Verbal testimony may be provided at the hearing or in advance by telephone at 541-386-4202.
